Pursuant to the Anisininew Grand Chief Election Code passed in March 2024, the Office of the Grand Chief is hereby calling for an Election of the Anisininew Grand Chief.

The Anisininew Grand Council met on June 10 and 11, 2024 and set the following dates for the Grand Chief Election:

First Round of Voting - August 6, 2024

Second Round of Voting, if required – on or about August 7, 2024

Inauguration of Grand Chief – August 13, 2024

Sharon Wood has been appointed the Regional Electoral Officer and the Notice with respect to the Nomination Process will be forthcoming.
